Product description

The Pao lamp collection is an exciting collaboration with renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Named after the soft, glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents illuminated at night, Fukasawa decided to encapsulate the same atmospheric warmth and friendliness in a glass Pao pendant. Pao draws on Fukasawa's aesthetic of beautiful simplicity; creating an everyday item that draws on design values existing in the natural world. While maintaining a modest and simple aesthetic, it harmonizes the design with its surroundings, reinforcing its basic intention to make the atmosphere pleasant and comfortable. For the Pao Glass pendant lamp, Fukasawa developed a custom LED light source and diffuser that are housed in the shade, offering a functional light output while providing a warm, homely glow. The pendant shades are made of opal glass and are available in various sizes. Their functionality and thoughtful simplicity of design make them suitable for a wide range of spaces and applications in home and corporate environments.
Diffuser and shade: hand-blown, high-gloss opal glass. Polished aluminum and opal glass with brass ball joint for leveling.
