Lifespan: 50000-L70 Orsa is the embodiment of precision - an elegant hanging lamp reduced to the most important elements, thanks to which the light can express a greater volume. A slender metal shaft flares at one end to form a heat sink and LED housing, with a UV-bonded methacrylate shield containing the light source. The design of the methacrylate lampshade makes the light source invisible, giving it the appearance of a floating disk of light. The industrial design team at Foster + Partners experimented with different materials, surfaces and optics to achieve the desired lighting effect and volume. The elegant, minimalist Orsa object has been designed as a single element or as part of a larger set.
