Inspired by a lens that focuses and redirects sunlight, Lens captures light, filters it, and then releases it back into the environment. The irregular shape of the Lens surface allows light to spread out, creating light and shadow effects on the elements below. The surroundings upon which the new colors fall meld with the light source, creating a pleasing decorative effect. The 3-group lens assemblies are reminiscent of cosmic and terrestrial elements, where light connects the two realms.
The Lens collection includes two types of hand lamps. A single version, consisting of an LED reflector that reflects light onto a single metal lens, and a multiple version, consisting of a 3-LED reflector that reflects light onto three intertwined metal lenses. The metal discs are tinted in brass, copper and black iron through an artisanal process that makes each lens finish unique.
