The design of the handle draws inspiration from the style of Louis XV and is inspired by Rococo; it differs from the latter in that it is less majestic and elaborate. The lines, although richly decorated, are more delicate and the structure is slimmer.
It is a reflection of the change in lifestyle, which has abandoned rigid seriousness in favor of a more carefree vision. Households had changed from those of the previous century, with rooms smaller and more comfortable.
