radiator with fabric finishOrimono (織物) in Japanese: weft, warp, fabric, like the one that covers the new radiator that Irsap will present at the next Milan Furniture Fair. This is a special feature of this product: traditionally radiators are made inappropriately from cold materials such as stainless steel, aluminum and, in the past, cast iron. In this project I tried to give the radiator a more material and friendly character, adopting a contemporary textile material, a rounded geometry with a significant diameter of 1400 mm, entirely made of aluminum and covered with Kvadrat fabric from the Remix 2 collection. Yarn made of 90% natural wool and only 10% nylon. The radiator is presented in discreet and timeless colors such as sage, brick and saffron combined with a white frame. More saturated shades are air blue and ash with an anthracite frame. The concept follows the evolution of textiles, which has been transferred from furnishings to buildings and permanent elements in domestic spaces and elsewhere.
Orimono is available in hydraulic and electric versions.
