Product description

Lift represents a new shower tray concept in which the visual lightness contrasts with the materiality inherent in natural stone. A system of removable finishing strips in both stone and wood, providing a pleasant hanging feeling, allows easy maintenance of the underlying structural part. The possibility of installation even flush with the floor highlights the beauty of the product, creating continuity with the bathroom surroundings. It is made in a unique dimensional variant, while in the case of strips you can choose between engraved or embossed anti-slip pads with a hemispherical shape.
The available materials are all Sicilian stones: lava stone, tar stone, Modica stone. In the case of strips, it is possible to combine stone with teak wood. The collection takes its name from the place from which the material is extracted. There are several important basins in Sicily where the famous lava stones of Etna, the Modica stone and the Pece stone are mined.
Lava stone is a very strong and resistant volcanic rock, having special structural features that make it highly valued in interior design works. Modica stone, a golden-white limestone extracted from the surface layers, has excellent workability and was widely used in the past in Sicilian Baroque masterpieces. The Pece stone, whose mining area is Ragusa, represents a variety of Modica stone with a polished color. It has a slightly softer structure and the ability to absorb hydrocarbons present in the substrate. Due to this function, in the past it was used as an insulating material in the floors of halls and boiseras of noble buildings.
