Product description
When creating the Stand, Norm Architects was inspired by the light and elegant cast iron details typical of 1920s and 1930s interiors that stylistically characterized the Victorian era and the subsequent decades of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The washbasin resembles flower pots used in lush, blooming winter gardens at that time. Stand products are made of the innovative LivingTec® material, whose technologically advanced properties make it fit perfectly with elegant, black metal structures that give the entire collection lightness. To create these two products, Jonas and Kasper worked with the subtraction method. “From the very beginning – explain the two designers – our goal was to create design objects that were beautiful and sculptural, yet light and airy, in the industrial bathroom furnishing sector, which is often visually dominated by heavy furnishings. In line with our philosophy of minimalism, we tried to reinterpret the modernist style of the 1920s and 1930s, stripping it of its decorative excesses to reach a point where nothing can be added or removed to make the product better.
