In 2017, Antoniolupi completes the trilogy of the Slot series, which in 2001 redefined the washbasin archetype, transforming the drain from a simple functional element into an aesthetic detail and design distinguishing feature. Already in 2008, My_Slot expanded the universality of the washbasin, making it available in a version with a traditional drain. In both cases, the use of Corian as the only material and the complete lack of drain and overflow describe a minimal aesthetic that has never been seen before. Sharp and essential shapes, clean and rigorous volumes, straight lines and proportional balance of surfaces that are in the DNA of the design, we find more than 15 years after the premiere of what is now a real bestseller, even in the new version.
OpenSlot is a proposition a traditional revision of the drain, modeled on a standard washbasin, hidden from view thanks to a removable cover, always made of Corian. A solution that preserves the identity and image of the Slot, but at the same time facilitates the maintenance and cleaning of any part of it.
