Product description
The Ossimoro washbasin project, designed by Calvi Brambilla architects, was addressed with the utmost respect and sense of responsibility towards marble, a material that has always been used in architecture and art. Designers Calvi Brambilla and Antoniolupi
tried to approach this project using technological and contemporary means, but with the utmost respect for the past and natural resources that are available in limited quantity. This led to the improvement of the material's properties by creating a unique object.
The compression effect desired by the designers was born from the collision of parallelepipeds and the desire to liquefy matter. To achieve this effect, a new technique was developed, 3D block compression simulation.
Together with the Ossimoro project, a new technique was developed to realize "Sculpture", starting from the idea of a marble sink with the effect of a "soft block of marble", compressed; an almost surreal object. The sink is made of Oriental White marble. It is a graceful monolith, a free-standing totem that can be combined with a wall or floor faucet.
Freestanding stone sink with floor drain complete with open plug, siphon and flexible hose.
