Arcate is a chest of drawers in solid wood with integrated handles.
The Church of Santa Fosca, the basilicas of Torcello and Murano: in a strict architectural style, the refined lightness of arches that follow each other in a constant rhythm. The smaller islands of the lagoon and its Romanesque buildings.
Curved and straight lines, solids and empty spaces, austerity and lightness; and, above all, the refined lightness of the arcs that follow each other in a constant rhythm. The Arcate furniture collection is a tribute to one of the fundamental elements of architecture - the arch in its typical variant of Romanesque structures, present in various areas of the Veneto region, such as some of the smaller islands of the Venetian lagoon - consisting of seven-chests, chests of drawers and bedside tables. It is a family of furniture with lively surfaces and a strongly architectural vocation, designed by the Milanese studio AccardiBuccheri - Mauro Accardi and Silvia Buccheri, architectural designers, designers and artistic directors of the brand - for MEDULUM.
The constant change of style, a series of arches, thus defines the geometry Arcate: solid wood elements, skillfully milled with mastery of the manufacturing process, create a system of recesses and handles that define the surface while remaining seemingly invisible.
The use of canaletto walnut enhances the sculptural character of these objects, emphasized by the particular design of the handles, which reveals another important feature: the presence of large drawers that emphasize the highly functional purpose of the collection.
