Product description

Like a burst of color and transparency on a wall, a set of cast glass wall shelves is more of a sculptural piece than an exercise in storage. Its name comes from urban slang for the splash of a puddle, and its fluid, curved form gives the impression of being stuck mid-flight. The British designers behind Silo Studio have translated their experimental approach to industrial production into pieces rich in texture and color, yet deceptively simple in form and function. Their cast glass structure leaves a textured and rippled appearance, further emphasizing the sense of movement; a simple bend in the middle is enough to distinguish the shelf from the wall bracket.
Each element is made of colored and cast glass. Bubbles, streaks and other differences in size and color are part of the manufacturing process and not a design or manufacturing defect.
