The famous travel reportage of Marco Polo entitled Il Milione tells the story of Venice's encounter with the East, whose cultural influences found their greatest expression in architecture, applied arts and industry. In Venice, a combination of two civilizations appeared, fabrics, carpets, embroideries of an exotic nature: a noble warp weave and texture, evoked by a collection of essential containers, ennobled by doors composed of wooden slats interwoven with brass details.
