Mauro Lipparini's latest design, the Bolide sideboard, is anything but sober, it's a statement piece; one for those who care about form, detail and ultimately internal identity. It is a sculptural expression of design that takes angles and places them in a unique configuration that is only ever enhanced by our insight into the manipulation of materials and focused approach to detail. Think of Bolide as a fluid structure that found its shape through a combination of planned design and natural cues, Mauro talks about a "wavy ribbon" and it would be hard to miss this form, but it is more than that. The compartments are divided by a characteristic curve, the doors create the design, and the sloping angles add a sense of linear diversity. Naturally, this is highlighted by the use of materials finished in sucupira or moka, while the machined lacquer top provides contrast in both texture and workmanship. The sideboard is made of an MDF board veneered in the color of moka oak or a sucupira structure, a top made of "Moon Gray" marble or an MDF board made of glossy polyester varnish (RAL 7003), on request the top can be delivered in any other RAL color for an additional fee, black nickel or varnish Feet in mica brown or oxy gray color.
The Moon Gray marble countertop can be protected with polyester varnish for an additional fee. Marble is characterized by porosity and cracking, so during the production process it is filled with special resins or inserts made of the same material. After polishing, irregularities and natural micro-holes may appear on the surface, but these do not negatively affect the durability of the product. For proper maintenance of all marble surfaces, it is recommended to use neutral agents, without degreasing or caustic agents. Acidic substances can spoil the polished marble surface. It is also recommended to avoid contact with liquids and acidic food and to immediately remove these substances in case of accidental contact with the surface.
