Product description
Bedin's Slate bookcase is constructed from pieces of laminate that have been formed into cubic boxes and stacked on top of each other, with longer pieces of material used to create shelves and a basement. While some boxes are printed in bold, blocky colors, others feature animated patterns that resemble marbled ink effects. Made of decorative HPL laminate, black Belgian marble and Padouk wood shelves. Limited edition. «The slate shelf is made of stone like the walls of the houses in my small village in Corsica. I am an architect who draws furniture like solid, protective, heavy buildings. Shelves are like books. The history of their material can be read in their thickness, as in the title: black marble from Belgium, a slightly fluffy laminate and intense colors.» Martine BedinLimited Edition is a project that Roberto De Rosso really wanted. He took full advantage of several unpublished items from his company's records, adding many others created especially for the occasion. An exciting collection, featuring re-edited or reinterpreted classics and new designs, that celebrates over thirty years of creativity and visionary fantasy. The first series consists of seven pieces and several varieties that are certified limited edition. It brings together five creative people from the international scene - architects, designers and artists - who have different backgrounds and individual paths, but maintain a perfect balance in terms of nationality, generation and gender. They are united by the exuberant use of color used in De Rosso's language philosophy, which includes quotes from pop art, references to the Alchimia movement and the Memphis style. The furniture family includes, among others, those areas of the home environment that are perfect for both groups and groups. as well as individually, with an exciting presence. From the enigmatic totem shelf by Martine Bedin, through the sculptural seat by Richard Hutten in five kaleidoscopic variants, to the motif of sideboards and containers interpreted with irony by Paola Navone; from a table covered with Ugo Nespolo's allegorical pop graphics to the zoomorphic shapes of Adam Nathaniel Furman's new works: a low table in the shape of a hedgehog and a monster chair that is ready to bite anyone who sits down. Limited editions of the De Rosso brand are dedicated to collectors and design lovers. They constitute an important, unique collection, unconventional and exclusive, a perfect combination of ingenuity and originality.
