Product description
Movement and flexibility sum up the emotional power of Toyo Ito, who in this bookcase sculpture captures the essence of the design of the Sendai (Japan) media center, which he designed and used as inspiration. This scale is composed of six lightweight shelves connected by turned solid wood elements, differing from each other in inclination and cross-section. Sendai is definitely a piece of furniture with a quiet, yet captivating design that reflects the typical oriental philosophy of the great architect.
A bookcase with MDF shelves covered with polished aluminum. A structure composed of twenty-five turned wooden elements of different diameters and at different angles, made of solid alder and walnut, impregnated with oil. Plinth made of black lacquered MDF board with adjustable legs.
