Defying the laws of physics, going beyond what we usually understand by equilibrium conditions, this shelf is simply a manifesto of Cassina's design and construction capabilities. After a long period of research and development, supported by cutting-edge technology, the company's designers created a production prototype of the original 1940 example, which architect Franco Albini made as a one-off for his home in Milan. Respecting the authentic concept underlying the design, with its fascinating experimental character, as well as its surprisingly spare, linear appearance, today's model retains the minimal ideal of the original: a feeling of air and light, making books and objects seem to float free in the air. In this way, Cassina returns to the contemporary design world one of its most iconic artifacts, a work that has achieved the status of a work of art, now as magical as when it was first seen.
Base
· MDF panel, ash sheet thickness 1 mm, frame made of massive ash wood.
· Frame made of metal rod, powder-coated in matt black.

· Very light, tempered and laminated glass, polished edges (thickness mm 7).
