new product category has been added to Lapalma's impressive catalog - the Jazz shelf designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, the brand's new artistic director. It is called JAZZ and, like the musical genre from which it draws inspiration, where improvisation is always linked to structure, behind the apparent disorder there is a precise harmony. Its aesthetic variability and sense of fragile balance contrast with the shelving's impeccable structural soundness in terms of engineering.

The series of cylindrical elements, resting on a 38 cm wide base, appear to lift of their own accord from the shelf, spreading out like tree branches in opposite and unexpected directions until they disappear and connect with the upper shelf, creating a sort of bench. The cylindrical elements act as supports between them, providing the assembly with some stability. The benches can be combined to create a modular aluminum shelf, with MDF shelves that can be freely increased in height to meet the various design requirements of architects and interior designers.
Following the principles of a correct approach to design in the name of sustainable development, JAZZ consists only made of three elements: die-cast aluminum posts and MDF shelves, connected together with hidden stainless steel joints; all components that can be easily dismantled and are fully recyclable in the context of a circular economy.
Designed to be placed in the center of a room when necessary, with legs that can be attached to the floor, where it can be used as an additional a partition that separates spaces without dividing them, JAZZ brings elegance and diversity, also in a more classic wall position. Like a large aluminum tree, with a line reinforced with a monochromatic coating (white, black or in the colors proposed by Lapalma), this unique shelf is ideal for storing corners of greenery, as well as books and various interior items.
