collection of shelves based on simple shelves that seem to be divided in the middle and slightly shifted vertically. The new design relieves the tension found in ordinary horizontal shelves and has an additional advantage: each shelf can also act as a support for books placed on the adjacent shelf.
The design idea can be compared to that used in houses. While existing horizontal ledges resemble buildings, a stepped ledge is more like a multi-story house where there are physical connections and relationships between different levels. Each shelf is attached to the structure without screws, so it can be easily removed or replaced.
