Product description

As a constructive further development of tube deformation, similar to the "tube aplati" principle according to the 1987 and 1990 patents, Tecta developed the "oblique tube" in 2005. This is a "three-dimensional deformation of the pipe", which the District Court of Düsseldorf confirms the "specific aesthetics" resulting from the "three-dimensional flat steel pipe" and the "interaction of the edge lines of the steel pipe pointing outwards with the side surfaces pointing diagonally inwards".
The result was Oblique, an expansive series of infinitely curved tubular steel tables whose striking, defining aesthetic is the product of a constructive imagination. Even Jean Prouvé noticed that the curved, round steel tubes in the furniture were made without much thought and told Axel Bruchhäuser: "You have to feel how the material thinks."
