Product description
SAN is a low veneered wood coffee table with storage, designed by Roderick Vos for Linteloo.
Material: oak veneer with sawing marks on plywood base.
Finish: white stained, clay green, burgundy anthracite or dark ebony, with matte lacquer.
Origin: handmade in the Netherlands.
If there is one thing that defines the Japanese aesthetic, it is the unique combination of deceptively simple lines and intricate craftsmanship. Dutch designer Roderick Vos used this centuries-old saying in his SAN coffee tables. The oak veneer shows sawing marks - another typically Japanese design feature that celebrates the material and the craftsmen who transform it.
"San" means "three" in Japanese, and the three-dimensionality of these two-tier tables is emphasized by the angle at which the top is set above the lower shelf. Inspired by the art of origami (paper folding), these angles allow you to create a wide range of interesting shapes using two - or more - SAN tables.
