The Maru coffee table is designed to be made of solid wood of medium and high hardness, such as oak, walnut and similar species. The tabletop is 25 mm thick and consists of two parts, calibrated in the same dimensions and connected longitudinally using a toothed joint. The shorter side of the panel was reduced to 8mm thick by gusseting, with the idea that from this perspective the full panel looks sharp and elegant. To avoid deformation of the upper plate and ensure its stabilization, the lower plate is also wedge-machined, which is invisible due to the thinned edges. The table legs attached to the bottom plate are L elements with a square cross-section of 80 x 80 mm, which, after removing excess material, obtain the shape of a right-angled triangle, which improves the overall aesthetics and weight and does not threaten the stability of the table. structure. Natural oils and waxes are used in the wood finishing process.
