Eileen Gray did not want delicate, luxurious furniture for her home in Castellar, on the way from Menton to the Alps, but versatile furniture for everyday use. Together with Menton, she managed to create one of her most ingenious structures. By simply turning the table top, you can create a low or high table as needed. Eileen Gray used Menton in a high position as a dining table, in a low position as a side table on the terrace, and also as a coffee table in the living room.
