Eclectic duo Raw Edges bring a fresh approach to the concept of shelving, a product that has always been a key part of Lem's ethos. Yael and Shay put books at the heart of this project, transforming them from simple objects into materials. The small, elegant, free-standing Booken shelf is multifunctional and serves as a side table and shelf at the same time. The key element of the design is the frame supported by geometric legs. Several wooden strips rest on the frame, like bookmarks, on which the books themselves are then hung, changing the shelf from vertical to horizontal. Booken is also available in a shelf version that can be mounted to the wall.
