Inspired by the refined, sinuous aesthetic of Art Nouveau, the XILO coffee table is a true metal sculpture that extols the company's handcrafting techniques and manufacturing excellence. Three sheets of thick brass, rounded at the ends and of varying lengths, were folded and irregularly touching each other to create rhythmic movement. Each piece is characterized by a distinct weave of prints that dissolve into gently fading traces, contrasting with the polished brass surface. The impressions on the surface of Xilo are a reminder of the manual production methods, proof of De Castelli's advanced craftsmanship, the fruit of tireless research into the material.
