Product description

Plettro is a round table with legs made of solid oak wood and elements made of lacquered aluminum. Tabletop made of veneered multi-layer plywood. Finish in natural oak wood, varnished (bleached, Canaletto walnut, dark, ash) or colored stains. As part of its ongoing research into innovation, Alias presents plettro, a reinterpretation of the traditional table with drawers designed by Paolo Rizzatto.
From a typological point of view, this solution creates a storage space in the tabletop that is dedicated to items used, whether in the dining room or in the home office. You can store computers, books, notebooks, as well as cutlery and tablecloths in it.
This is a very interesting option in modern life, where equipment, such as a table, is becoming more and more cross-sectional and constitutes a scene of extremely diverse moments and activities. Plettro is characterized by an unfolded top that becomes a very rigid beam structure, made of two thin tops cut by a series of wooden elements dividing the spaces in which the drawers slide out. At the top of the models intended for the home office there is a useful cable management system.
Paolo Rizzatto designs two tables equipped with drawers of different shapes and sizes, ideal for the home office: the first is a triangular table with rounded corners that formally resemble a plectrum, a small instrument used to strike or pluck the strings of a musical instrument. This gives the entire collection its name and is configured as a three-seater desk. The second is a desk with an organic, friendly shape, making it an ideal desk for writing.
The plettro collection is complemented by tables with traditional wooden tops, available in various sizes: square tables (available in sizes 120x120 cm and 180x180 cm), round tables (diameter 120 cm, 160 cm or 200 cm) and rectangular tables with a capacity of up to ten seats (available in sizes 100x200 cm, 100x240 cm and 100x300 cm). A characteristic element of all tables from the plettro collection is the leg: it consists of a cast aluminum foot, from which three turned wooden cylinders extend, which are mounted on another aluminum element mounted under the table top. A set of components that combine harmoniously thanks to the fluidity of the surface. These extremely light legs are truly mesh structures, elegant in their design and very effective in their supporting function.
In times of strong changes in the use of home spaces, Alias faces the topic of tradition, which becomes contemporary through the plettro collection.
