The experience gained by the Buratti brothers in the field of carpentry and joinery resulted in the hiwood project, which explores the world of modern production technologies and new formal forms possible thanks to them.
Made of solid oak wood, a highly valued natural material, hiwood is a table with a surprising shape: tapering on each side, it moves away from the usual connotation of the table as a massive, thick and square piece of furniture and becomes an exceptionally thin sheet of high-quality wood. In this way, the solid parts become sheets and the thickness is eliminated, resulting in a unique geometry reduced to a minimum.
Stability is ensured by hidden tie rods, which not only make the hiwood very durable, but also make it possible to obtain highly refined joints, give the design a strong technical spirit and create a table that is pure, elegant and extreme in terms of design, technique, classic quality.
Perfectly suited to the home environment, hiwood tables can have rectangular or square tops, in two finishes, natural oak and lacquered oak in two variants: dark and hash grey.
br />The quintessential, archetypal structure of hiwood is highlighted by the design of the top and legs, which have curved, tapered shapes and reveal the typical texture of solid wood to the touch.
