Variazioni is a round wooden table.
A vast, mirrored space, the waters of the Venetian lagoon come alive with the passage of ships, taking on chromatic mutations and luminous ripples in constant reflection that give its surface life.
In VARIATIONS, a piece of furniture designed for the brand by NAESSI STUDIO – Roman design duo Eleonora Carbone and Alessandro D'Angeli – circular inlays overlap and follow the entire circumference of the table top, supported by a base that is also round, placed in the center of the table. Ton sur ton inlays, created from concave materials of the same species, celebrate the aesthetic versatility of wood, the most natural and noble material of all: each portion of wood fiber, rotated a few degrees from the orientation of the base, absorbs light and releases it with unexpected chromatic vibrations, depth effects and geometric signs. Changing the point of view changes the table surface, which creates a rhythmic and surprising aesthetic effect. A unique visual dynamic, demonstrating the brand's extensive experience in production, which reflects the dynamic function of the object itself, designed to connect people and suggest connections and the exchange of ideas.
A collection of tables of archetypal forms, impressive proportions and a light, minimalist game of inlays that it enlivens the entire countertop in an unexpected way.
VARIAZIONI was born from the designer's desire to bring to the fore the opalescent appearance of wood - just like the water of a lagoon that suddenly comes to life and amazes us with its color change and unexpected reflections.
