The Boboli table is characterized by geometrically ordered lines, and Cassina's design challenge was to ensure the stability of the slender, twisted posts that make up the base. These posts, both load-bearing and decorative, pay homage to the canons of the classic Italian garden, where plants often grew vertically. The sinuous form of these aluminum legs gives the design a sculptural appearance where rigor and imagination combine to challenge the limitations and the very nature of the material from which they are made. After several updates and revisits, Cassina presented the latest version of the Boboli table in 2016, further improving its stability and durability by attaching the table top to the base. The exquisitely constructed collection of Boboli tables has been further enriched with new finishes in painted aluminum in matte black, dark gold chrome, bronze and mud.
