Product description
table with a solid architectural structure, an example of the new design language that Mario Bellini invented in the 1970s and that he analyzed in his Libro dell'Arredamento. Following this approach, which was based on the basic functions of individual furniture, where each piece of furniture could be transformed by reinterpreting its traditional form, depending on functions, materials and finishes. La Rotonda is one of a series of tables designed in 1976, including La Corte, Il Colonnato and La Loggia, all inspired by the original structures of classical architecture. As a result, a number of solutions have been created that meet every need. These masterpieces highlight the close relationship between furniture design and architecture, exemplified in this case by the use of supports such as pillars, all of which demonstrate Cassina's unrivaled mastery of woodworking.
