Product description

Charlotte Perriand began working on tables en forme libre in 1938. Originally intended for her own atelier in the Montparnasse district of central Paris, they came into production courtesy of Galerie Steph Simon in the late 1950s. All rounded edges and asymmetric lines make these tables perfect for accommodating up to eight guests in small spaces. The table has three legs: one is oval with a wider surface, the other two are smaller and cylindrical in shape. In 2011, Cassina re-released this model, reducing the width of the legs to provide more space and allow guests to sit closer together during social occasions. Available in solid mahogany wood, the table is also finished in glossy or matte lacquer, in Cassina Moodboard colors. The table top is composed of wooden blocks that slide into each other, with the joints visible at the ends, demonstrating Cassina's exceptional carpentry skills; all differences in wood are part of the nature of the raw material and serve to emphasize its inherent beauty.
