Product description
After the appearance of the Gaulino chair, a great classic that is now in the BD catalogue, the Jamaica stool also appeared. The famous Pepe Cortés design has been commercialized since 1991 and will now continue to be branded and manufactured by BD Barcelona Design. The stool versions include three different heights and a seat in wood or aluminum. Jamaica has a well-deserved place in the history of Spanish design and has a long commercial future ahead of it. The stool is suitable for both the home and contract markets due to the sculptural beauty of the seats, ergonomics, comfort, durability of the materials used, nobility and renowned versatility. Pepe Cortés (Barcelona, 1946) belongs to the BD family of designers, which was founded in the last century, starting in the early 1980s. Together with Javier Mariscal, he founded the collection "Muebles Muy Formales" (very formal furniture). Already in 1984, he designed the Olvidada lamp for BD, which has recently been refreshed thanks to LED technology.
