Product description
Eero Saarinen promised to address the ugly, confusing and troubled world he observed under the chairs and tables - the so-called "slums of the legs". Five years of design research led him to the revolutionary Pedestal collection, which includes the Tulip stool, launched in 1958.
FEATURES
The Saarinen stool has an upholstered cushion on a swivel base. A nameplate with the KnollStudio logo and Eero Saarinen's signature is located on the bottom of the base.
CONSTRUCTION
The base consists of die-cast aluminum with a Rilsan coated finish for the white and black versions. The Platinum base has a polyurethane coating with a clear finish.
FINISHES
The base is available in black, white or platinum.
The stool seat cushion is available in a wide range of Spinneybeck fabrics and leathers. This product is available with BS5852 foam.
