The 60 stool is a stackable stool with birch legs and seats.
Alvar Aalto's iconic 60 stool is the most elemental piece of furniture, suitable as a seat, table, storage cabinet or display surface. The legs are attached directly to the bottom of the round seat, without the need to use complicated connecting elements. Thanks to its geometry, the stool can be stacked on top of each other to save space in a spiral tower-shaped sculpture. Manufactured in 42 production steps at Factory A in Turku, Finland, Stool 60 is available in a wide range of colors and finishes. Several million units of the Stool 60 and its four-legged cousin, the Stool E60, were sold, making it one of the most appreciated products in the history of design.
The Stool 60 can be stacked on top of each other, creating a spiral tower of design classic.
Stool 60 is available in a wide range of colors and finishes:
Birch legs, natural lacquered, white or black lacquered, walnut stain or honey stain.
Seat options: birch veneer, white or black lacquer, black linoleum, HPL IKI white, walnut or honey stain, ColoRing finishes.
