The lightweight Linea Akademia chair was designed by Wesley Walters and Salla Luhtasel in 2019. As the name suggests, the Akademia chair was created as a result of Wesley Walter's master's thesis at Aalto University in Helsinki. The young designer, one half of the design duo Kaksikko, and his partner Salla Luhtasela studied the Finnish chair-making heritage, the Shaker style and Japanese tradition, and then combined these different elements to create the Akademia chair.
Material: oak, ash, with upholstered seat.
Surface finish: lacquered oak, light lacquered oak, black stained oak, varnished ash, gray painted birch
