Presented in the evocative setting of the Listone Giordano Arena, Tacta is the first and unprecedented chair designed by John Pawson. The chair's distinctive profile results from the idea of extending the legs as two sinuous lines of wood that meet and separate to form the armrests and backrest, creating an elegant, comfortable and visually refined sculptural form. From this simple strategy emerged a chair that feels unmistakably modern, but also speaks quietly of its predecessors in the curved wooden chairs of Thonet and the organic lines of mid-20th century Danish furniture. Made entirely of solid wood, the seat is the result of the company's established know-how and a long tradition of working with this natural material and making chairs.
