Do you love cuddling with a soft and soothing pillow? How about the same on a chair?
The crazy idea of a "pillow with legs" was the starting point for Yonoh to roll up his sleeves and get to work. The result is Mullit, an original chair with a formal look.
Its proportions are well-balanced thanks to the overwhelming volume of the seat and back cushions juxtaposed with the visual lightness provided by the legs, encouraging you to take a seat and enjoy a pleasant experience.
For a subtle ruffle was used to enhance the fluffiness effect on the back and collar; another nod to the scattered cushions.
A wide range of textiles and a choice of bases contribute to the chair's versatility: toothpick-like wooden legs, minimalist metal legs or electroplating from a bygone era.
“At Mullit we wanted to achieve a chair that would connect aesthetics and comfort. Somehow we wanted to transfer the feeling of comfort we feel when sitting on a cushion to a chair, without losing ergonomic needs. Volume and weight play a visual role in a very functional product.”
