Originally created as part of a self-propelled mission to design the world's lightest metal chair, the Pylon was produced in small series at Dixon's metal workshop in the early 1990s. A 3mm diameter steel bar truss is triangulated for maximum strength - an exercise in clean, unadorned structure.
