Arper celebrates the enduring potential of the Catifa family, taking two-tone personalization to a new level of contrast and aesthetics. Originally designed in 2004 for contract use and large spaces, the Catifa 46 retains the same slim profile, but new for 2016 will be available in an updated range of soft yet complex palette: pink, petrol, yellow, ivory and turtle dove grey. Any combination of these refreshed colors can be combined or contrasted with a customizable seat cushion or interpreted as a monochromatic accent. The selection can be further enhanced or muted with material texture, shell finish and colored base options. Catifa 46 is the little sister of Catifa 53. The same elegant profile with expressive, casual performance, intended for contract use and spaces requiring a slightly smaller scale. Extremely flexible, the Catifa 46 expands the range of customizable finishes, bases and accessories to adapt to an almost limitless range of contract applications without changing its essential character.
Built for both residential and contract use, indoors and outdoors , the Catifa 46 shell and base are made of a variety of materials, colors and finishes. The cabinet is made of double-curved plywood, single- or two-color polypropylene, covered with leather or fabric or finished with upholstered pads. The base is made of chrome steel, satin-finished stainless steel, aluminum or powder-coated aluminum and is available in the following base configurations: sled, four-legged in tube, aluminum trestle and five-legged. The bases of the sled and four legs are stackable, allowing for large-scale use and storage. A table accessory is available for campus or auditorium use. Catifa 46 is also available as a stool.
