The West Street chair is a minimalist design based on a simple cube shape. As a result of designer Robin Day's challenge to create a chair with the simplest form, the West Street Chair began life as a personal project. The chair, named after the house where Robin and Lucienne Day moved in 1999, was chosen by Case as a simple desk or occasional chair.

The solid wood frame has two upholstered leather cushions that act as seat and backrest, and the backrest cushion is slightly sloped for additional comfort.
