Renowned furniture-making skills are manifested in a new chair that, abandoning classic stereotypes, gives birth to powerful new idioms. The solid ash wood frame consists of large, bold legs and crossbars with a solid and energetic appearance. The innovative character of this chair comes from the contrast between the strong lines of the frame and the slim, discreet covers, arranged like a sheet of paper, giving a striking sense of movement. The ergonomically adjusted angle of the backrest and invisible upholstery increase the comfortable appearance of the chair, creating a feeling of wrapping when the tilted upper part of the backrest becomes an armrest. The overall look is enhanced by elegant finishes, no visible seams and delicate leather trims defining the edges of the backrest and seat.
This signature chair by Patricia Urquiola outclasses stereotypes with a bold new plasticity and a personality of its own. The modern design of the Back-Wing chair is made entirely of solid wood.
