Product description

In his studio in Caracas, Venezuela, architect Hans Könecke designed a variety of furnishings for DK MUEBLES, including the D48/D49 office and conference chair. The design entered mass production in the late 1950s, when Könecke founded Tecta in Lauenförde.
D49 is architecture in chair form: it combines four beautifully shaped elements of curved rosewood plywood to create a unique office chair. The seat and back cushions, fastened with buttons and made of high-quality leather, elegantly match the organic shape of the chair. The integrated tilt mechanism and gas spring allow you to adjust the tilt and height of the D49 chair.
