The Formstelle design duo always develops a solid concept, whether experimenting with form or technical details. “Without a strong foundation and a fully developed idea – there is no furniture design.” The basic principle behind Luna was a "dressed-up" dining chair. Through countless research into forms, they moved away from standard designs of upholstered chairs. This is how a tailor-made project was created, inspired by the world of haute couture. The reversible armrest detail surrounds Luna like a perfectly fitted garment. Sophisticated seams and pleats emphasize its inviting volume. Its material properties and ergonomics create a dining chair that combines comfort, precision and nonchalance: custom German design with a Dutch accent. A wide range of upholstery and chassis options (wood/metal, swivel/non-swivel) make the design suitable for a variety of spaces and styling preferences. Luna is light, elegant and captivating, like a full moon in a clear night sky.
