Distinguished by its unique silhouette and organic and harmonious shapes, the Super Chair is a monocoque chair made of 100% recycled plastic, intended for home and contract use. Super Chair, designed by Nicholas Baker for Damiano Latini, is a project created with the ambition to become an icon in the world of seating furniture, easily recognizable by its shape and soft touch effect. Nicholas Baker is well known for his stunning designs and experiments with emerging technologies. To achieve this unique silhouette, the American designer developed the Super Chair concept through 3D VR modeling, which makes the product design process more efficient and accurate. Nicholas Baker started with a rectangular figure, which he modeled using a VR viewer until it achieved a sinuous and fluid shape that was instantly recognizable. Entirely made in Italy, the chair is manufactured using injection molding technology and is made of 100% recycled polypropylene and covered with a SILKY® finish, which provides a more refined look and gives the chair a velvety soft touch
Material used for production, the Super Chair is made using RE-LIFE® technology, and the polymer part is obtained from recycled scraps and industrial waste without the use of fossil raw materials (RPP LICENSE200069). This technology allows you to create environmentally friendly products that not only do not use new fossil resources, but also cleanse the system of scrap and industrial waste, recycling them into raw materials. The technopolymer filler material is 100% recyclable, strong and durable, which is not a secondary issue considering the importance of the product's life cycle in relation to its impact on the ecosystem. Thanks to RE-LIFE® technology, it was possible to create the Super Chair, a fully recycled and recyclable, sustainable product, without having to make unacceptable compromises in aesthetic quality and mechanical performance.
