MONTGOMERY armchair and small armchair with a solid ash wood frame available in four finishes: natural (fin. 96), anthracite (fin. 93), biscuit (fin. 2P) and ash gray (fin. 2R). The backrest cushion is attached to the structure with an elastic band, which is attached to a small metal cylinder visible at the back of the seat.
The armrests are padded with polyurethane foam of various densities and upholstered with Pelle or Pelle. The backrest and seat padding is made of polyurethane foam of various densities covered with fiber. The seat is equipped with elastic straps to increase comfort. The cover for the backrest and seat, which can be removed, is made of the same material: fabric or leather.
“Montgomery is a design born from a single detail. The Austrian knot – a type of lacing that characterizes the Montgomery coats of the 1980s and 1990s was the cornerstone and main focus of the design. The lines of the chair and the small armchair are centered around this detail and are reminiscent of the collections of some historic designers from the 1970s. We all tend to design chairs that are beautiful when viewed from the front, but in reality we usually look at the chair from the back because at home there is it faces the table. We wanted to give the chair meaning, character and personality, even when it is not in use and is simply looked at.”
