Dew is a round ottoman resembling a drop of water in which the lines of surface tension transform into a network of stripes of leather. For some optical works from the 1950s, Nendo explored the perceptual processes underlying movement, translating them into an arrangement of lines and geometric shapes arranged in precise mathematical terms. The optical effect, highlighted by extension reports and the use of black and white in its simplicity, allows for multiple readings of the object, both structural and surface.‎
Injected, flame-retardant polyurethane foam. Base in hot-molded, shock-absorbing white plastic. Woven, only grade Z leather, in two colors.
