Product description
Saruyama Giro is a pouffe with injected, flame-retardant polyurethane foam on an internal wooden frame. The covers from the Saruyama Island collection are not removable. The Saruyama sofa, a revolutionary and unique design designed by Toshiyuki Kita in 1989 for Moroso, which has become an icon of contemporary design, is now joined by Saruyama Islands. The first Saruyama, with its geomorphic shape, an extremely lyrical object, consists of three modules that, connected together, create a large round island, different from each other, which suggests a free interpretation of the seating areas. With Saruyama Islands, Kita develops and expands the project, combining with the first an "archipelago" of independent islands consisting of small seats, a chaise longue and small tables that can live together or independently of each other, while keeping unchanged the organic aesthetic features and functions inherent in the original design. While Saruyama is designed for large spaces, islands meet the needs of more compact ones.
