Design as Memory: Conceptual simplicity and influences from childhood memories inspired the design of the Lee armchair and sofa.
The solid wood structure - ash and Canaletto walnut - is entirely handmade, as is the woven backrest and seat made of paper string. This old-fashioned but completely natural material with excellent wear resistance is reintroduced here as a tribute to tradition and the satisfaction of creating something that will last a lifetime and be passed on to future generations.
Both the Lee armchairs and the sofa offer the option of adding soft cushions from removable upholstery.
TECHNICAL DATA:
Solid Canaletto walnut structure with natural finish; or Canaletto extra stained walnut or coffee; or in solid ash with a natural finish or stained walnut, cherry, teak, coffee, wenge, ebony or brown. Woven, twisted paper cord.
Polyester fiber seat/back cushion; on order, at an additional cost.
Feet made of die-cast Zama with satin, chrome, black chrome, oxidized or bronze metal finish. The footrests are located on tips made of thermoplastic material.
The upholstery of the seat and backrest cushions is removable in both fabric and leather versions.
