An armchair providing ergonomic comfort and coziness appears even more contemporary thanks to the material contrast between the fabric of the cushions, the leather of the armrests and body, and the metal structure. Maggiolina, produced by Zanotta since 1972, is one of the brand's best-selling products, a symbol of Italian "good design", a functional and sustainable product, designed with durability in mind.
Chaise longue designed in 1947 by Marco Zanuso, the great Milanese designer, a tireless experimenter of materials and technologies used in design, was an innovative project for its time, which abandoned the traditional concept of an armchair as a padded structure using craftsmanship in favor of experimenting with a new construction system designed for mass industrial production. Maggiolina's design is based on the advancement of a modern method, with a functional breakdown of elements: elegant tubular structure in stainless steel (tubular frame in 18/8 polished steel or painted black or with a natural or black satin nickel finish); semi-rigid shell made of pigmentato 90 cowhide and two soft cushions with goose down padding on the back and polyurethane / Dacron Du Pont on the seat.
