The Mademoiselle rocking chair is made of solid birch and was developed especially for the home. Made using an age-old construction method, the spoked backrest contrasts strikingly with the smooth modernist curves of the gently rounded edge of the seat. When creating Mademoiselle, designer Ilmari Tapiovaara drew inspiration from traditional Finnish chairs and then applied his own modern approach to design. Also available as a lounge chair.
