The 1085 Edition chair by Bartoli Design is inspired by almost a century of experience of Presot®, the only tannery in Italy that still processes leather using traditional methods. It is no accident that he is associated with some of the most important names in Italian haute couture. However, it also draws on sailing knowledge as it uses a tie rod mechanism to maintain tension that would naturally lose over time and as the leather softens. It also reflects the passage of time, preserving the work of those who created it and those who use it day after day.
